Light the Way: Anti-Human Trafficking Training


This course is designed for anyone who wants to better understand human trafficking and how to respond. Participants learn what human trafficking is, how it happens, and the signs to look for, while clarifying common myths and misconceptions. The training also covers how to make a report, what happens after a report is submitted, and how The Helianthus Project supports survivors and the community throughout the process.

  • Lunch & Learn

    A one-hour session (12–1 PM) for businesses/groups to learn about human trafficking while enjoying a complimentary lunch. Topics include what trafficking is, warning signs, and how to respond.

  • Group Presentation

    This option is ideal for groups who would like a presentation in the morning or evening. We cover the signs, common myths, and how your community can help.

  • Virtual Presentation

    Ideal for those who prefer a personalized setting, these sessions can be conducted individually via Zoom or for small groups as a virtual presentation. We cover all aspects of our Light the Way training, providing tailored guidance and the opportunity to ask questions.
